Graduate Student Travel Subsidies for 2008

Graduate students giving papers at the Byzantine Studies Conference who do not reside in the area of the conference are entitled to partial reimbursement of travel expenses. The amount of the subsidy is limited to $300.

Graduate students who do not reside in the area of the conference but attend the conference without giving a paper are eligible to receive a subsidy of up to $100.

To be eligible for a travel subsidy, graduate students must provide the following:

1. a cover letter indicating their current address and stating the amount requested ($300 or $100);
2. original travel or hotel receipts documenting their conference expenses; and
3. a photocopy of their student ID.

These materials must be mailed to the BSANA Treasurer after the annual BSC and no later than December 1.
